Welcome to Lillian Rose!

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Lillian Rose Chesak into the Grimes/Chesak family! Lillian made her grand appearance on Thursday, December 16 at 9:30am. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and measured 21.5 inches long.

During the first part of the labor, we got a message to Chris (in Kuwait) to let him know that she was on the way. Fortunately, even though he was scheduled to be en route to northern Iraq at the same time she was being born, he was able to get on the phone during one 'layover' of his trip, during which time he listened to the last 15-20 minutes of pushing and Lillian's first cries.
